St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary fields a cheerleading squad comprised of girls from the 7^th and 8^th grade.  The girls cheer for the West Catholic Football Team in the fall and then they cheer for the 7^th & 8^th grade SJ-IHM boys basketball team during basketball season.

St. Jospeh Immaculate Heart of Mary fields boys and girls teams in the local junior high Catholic League.  The team is comprised of boys and girls from 7^th & 8^th grade school students.  All play is governed by Ohio High School Athletic Association guidelines. 

SJ-IHM also fields a team for students from kindergarten through 6^th grade.  This team is made up of SJ-IHM Day school children.  They participate in local Catholic cross country intramural instructional league.

The 7^th & 8^th grade team is the North Catholic Wildcats.  The team is a combination of St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Christine, St. Joseph the Provider, St Patrick Hubbard and St. Rose schools.  The team plays in the Mahoning Trumbull Catholic Conference and all play is governed by Ohio High School Athletic Association guidelines. 

The 4^th – 6^th grade team is the West Catholic Crusaders.  The team is a parish team comprised of school and CCD students.  The team is a combination of St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Christine, St. Joseph the Provider, St Patrick Hubbard and St. Rose schools.  The team plays in the Mahoning Trumbull Catholic Conference.

St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary fields boys and girls teams in the Catholic Youth Soccer League.  These teams are Parish teams comprised of school and active registered CCD students from kindergarten through 8^th grade.
